After we graduated University, we took a ten day adventure to Panama in May of 2012 as a present to ourselves. Travel is the only thing you buy that makes your richer.

We flew into Panama City and visited Casco Viejo (old town) and the Panama Canal. The Panama Canal was fascinating and we spent hours watching the huge ships float through the locks.

Then we took a bus from Panama City to David for a quick transfer to Boquete. Boquete is Panama’s coffee hub and produces some of the best coffee we have ever tasted! It also is home to a volcano that you can hike where you can see 2 oceans (Pacific & Atlantic) at the same time.

After Boquete, we took another bus to Bocas del Toro, which is much more inviting than the name makes it sound. Bocas is Panama’s Carribean island archipelago paradise. There are many fantastic and unique beaches, including Red Frog Beach, Starfish Beach, and Zapatilla! Do not miss Zapatilla!
